Enter your numbers from a recent blood test and blood pressure check to estimate your chance of heart disease over the next ten years, using the scores Canadian and American guidelines rely on.
Framingham Risk Score
Used by Canadian guidelines. Counts heart attack, angina, stroke, heart failure, and peripheral artery disease.
—
Pooled Cohort Equations
Used by US guidelines. Counts heart attack and stroke only.
—
These scores are designed for people who have not already had a heart attack, stroke, or other heart disease. Because the two scores count different events and were developed in different populations, the Framingham number is usually two to three times higher; each is interpreted against its own thresholds. The result is an estimate to discuss with your doctor, not a diagnosis. Your information is not stored or transmitted.
